Watch “Seas of Havoc Preview: Naval Combat Meets Deckbuilding Meets Worker Placement!,” a board game review for Seas of Havoc on BoardGameVideo.
Description provided by BoardGameDave on YouTube:
I was equally surprised and honored that Rock Manor Games entrusted my little channel (I think I had 233 subscribers when I offered to make a preview video) with a preview copy of their game, Seas of Havoc. I've since gotten a chance to play it at a variety of player counts (including solo) and I'm happy to report that it's a fantastic and fun game which combines many of my favorite mechanisms in board games, not to mention arguably my favorite setting/theme! You can check out the Kickstarter campaign using the link below and you can still Late Pledge to the game, which will come with the Sea Monster expansion!
"Seas of Havoc is a naval skirmish game for 1-5 players where you captain a ship and engage in battle through the use of a deck of cards that dictate your ship’s movement and cannon fire. Each player begins with a unique deck of movement options defined by the ship they’ve chosen and special abilities dictated by the captain they’ve selected to command it. Players then compete to gain the most Infamy by recovering shipwrecks and battling it out on the high seas."

About Seas of Havoc, from BoardGameGeek:
In Seas of Havoc, players take on the role of a unique captain of a ship in a naval combat game where players are competing for the most renown. Players can gain renown for discovering shipwreck and battling it out on the high seas.
The game is split between a combat phase on the high seas and an island phase where players send out their skiffs to worker placements to gain resources, improve their decks, repair and upgrade their ship. During the combat phase, Players will play out a hand of cards to maneuver their ship; navigating obstacles, searching shipwrecks and firing cannons at their opponents. Multi-use cards offer options as the battle unfolds and card bonuses reward smart play.
