This is an unboxing and preview of the 2-player, but solitaire capable, war board game Traces of War. Designed by Tetsuya Nakamura and published by VUCA Simulations. Tetsuya Nakamura is a prolific designer who also designed A Victory Lost (Eastern Front, WW2), Fire in the Sky (Pacific Theater, WW2), Storm over Stalingrad, and A Victory Awaits (Operation Barbarossa, 1941), and others. Traces of War is a two-player game that simulates the intense fighting between Axis and Soviet forces after the battle of Kursk during August 1943 to March 1944. A major Soviet offensive is launched against a German mobile defense. Will the breakthrough be successful?
