Welcome to our full review of Papyria (2025) — a board game set in ancient Mesopotamia from designer Bernd Eisenstein. If you love resource management, tile placement, and strategic engine building, this video’s for you.
What is Papyria?
In Papyria, players explore the region around the Tigris & Euphrates in 1500 BC—building canals, mines, temples, and cities. You'll collect papyrus and lapis lazuli, discover inventions, expand your network via ships and wanderers, and strive for the most points through multipliers, key tiles, and end-game scoring.
