Welcome to Fun with Boxes, Episode 222 One Card Dungeon, designed by Barny Skinner and published by Alley Cat Games Have you heard of One Card Dungeon? It’s a super fun solo dice-placement dungeon crawl that you can play on a single card. Picture this: you’re an adventurer, battling through 12 increasingly challenging levels to reach the ultimate prize – the Sceptre of M’Guf-yn! On the map, you’ll see both the Adventurer and the Monsters represented by Dice. The value on top of each Dice shows their current health. Each room has a unique Monster, and you’ll need to defeat anywhere from 1 to 4 of them in each room. Now, let’s talk about the game mechanics. You’ll roll three dice and then assign one dice to each of your Movement, Attack, and Defence skills. Add up your skill levels in these areas with the dice you’ve assigned, and you’ll get a total number of points to spend in each area. For instance, if you have a Speed skill of 3 and assign a 4 dice to it, you’ll have 7 Speed points to spend that turn. After each room, you get to upgrade one of your four skills – Movement, Attack, Defence, and Range. It’s like levelling up your character! So, grab your dice, dive into the adventure, and let the epic battles begin!
