About MovieDEX — from BoardGameGeek:
MovieDEX is a collection of eight games that all run on the same deck of 120 movie cards. Each card represents one film and carries the data the games draw on. The eight games are grouped into four zones, and a group picks a game to suit the players and the time available rather than working through one long ruleset. In Awards Night, players run their own awards ceremony, swaying the vote and pursuing hidden agendas while keeping a straight face. Streaming Wars casts players as rival streaming services, building a catalog, raiding opponents and defending their own library. The casual zone holds Ultimate Charades, a team performance game in which a die decides how you must act; Spotlight, a team actor-recall game played in tightening rounds; and One Take, in which everyone writes a one-word clue at once and matching clues cancel out. The cinephile zone is knowledge-driven: Clue Rush has players guess films from clues while betting on themselves and jumping in early, Credit Crawl has them lay cards out in a grid and name connections on every side they touch, and Auction House runs open bidding to collect sets of three. Player count, length and scoring vary by game. All eight use the same shared movie deck, so the components stay constant while the activity changes. -description from the publisher
