Wanted Wombats is a light, fast-paced push-your-luck card game for 2–5 players, designed by Kaya Miyano. The entire game revolves around trying to correctly predict the value of the next card in a small deck of “wanted” wombats. On your turn, you guess what value the top card will have — usually $1,000, $3,000, $5,000, or the rare $10,000 wombat. If you guess correctly, you temporarily collect that card and may either: stop and bank your winnings, or keep going to try to earn more. But if you guess wrong, you lose everything you collected during that turn. That creates the game’s central tension: deciding when to cash out versus risking it all for a bigger haul. The first player to collect $15,000 worth of wombats wins. One quirky rule gives bonus value if you collect three $1,000 cards in a single turn, encouraging risky streaks.
