Description provided by GameRules Studio on YouTube:
Get ready for classic family fun with Skip-Bo 🃏 — the ultimate sequencing card game from Mattel!
Easy to learn, fast to play, and endlessly replayable — perfect for families, friends, or quick game nights.
🎯 Skip-Bo is a card-sequencing and shedding game for 2–6 players that takes 20–30 minutes.
Your goal — be the first to play all cards from your personal Stock Pile in numerical order using shared build piles from 1 to 12.
1️⃣ Setup:
- Shuffle the deck (162 cards total).
- Deal each player a Stock Pile of 30 cards (15 for 5–6 players); turn the top card face up.
- Each player draws 5 cards into their hand. The remaining cards form the Draw Pile.
2️⃣ On Your Turn:
- Play cards from your hand to the center Build Piles in ascending order (1 → 12).
- Skip-Bo cards are wild and can represent any number.
- When a pile reaches 12, remove it and start a new one.
- You may also play from your Stock Pile or Discard Piles (you can keep up to 4).
3️⃣ End of Turn:
If you can’t play more cards, discard one to any of your four discard piles.
Then draw back up to 5 cards at the start of your next turn.
4️⃣ Winning the Game:
The first player to empty their Stock Pile wins!
You can play multiple rounds and tally points based on remaining cards.
💡 Tips & Strategy
- Use Skip-Bo cards wisely — don’t waste them on short chains.
- Build discard piles strategically to set up future turns.
- Keep track of others’ Stock Pile numbers — you can block their plays.
- When the deck runs low, tempo and memory decide the winner.
Skip-Bo is simple, addictive, and a true family classic — a mix of luck, planning, and just a bit of chaos. Perfect for any age! 🎴✨
