Description provided by GideonsGaming on YouTube:

Horizons of Spirit Island is a smaller and more compact version of Spirit Island made to appeal to a larger crowd and onboard new players. Horizons is to Spirit Island what Jaws of the Lion is to Gloomhaven. **Gideon's Bias** Review Copy Used: Yes Number of Plays: 10+ Player Counts Played: All Fan of Genre: Yes Fan of Weight: Yes Gaming Groups Thoughts: Loved It **Horizons of Spirit Island Information** Publisher: Greater Than Games Designers: Eric Reuss Number of Players: 1-3 Genre: Co-op area control and hand management Weight: Heavy Price: $29.99 **Pros** A compact version of one of the best co-op board games available. Great onboarding system for teaching new players how to play Five great spirits that are easy to learn but offer tons of decision space Horizons places a larger focus on teamwork early on in the learning process Inexpensive Price Plays great at any player count **Cons** The large tokens tend to make the board really crowded Horizons is solvable after a point since it's missing additions that core expansions added to solve it The quick start guide assumes three players and is effective if used with less **Links** Website: https://gideonsgaming.com/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/GideonsGaming Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/gideonsgaming/ Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/GamingGideon Kofi: https://ko-fi.com/gaminggideon Discord: https://t.co/I4FTNdUziG **Interested in the card holders I use in my photos?** They are from Build with Ti'tains whom can be found on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/build_with_titains/ **Timestamps** 00:00 Overview 01:51 Presentation 03:56 Gameplay 05:15 Card play and Cooperation 06:57 Thematic Mechanisms 09:13 Ramping Up 11:13 New Player Experience 14:29 New Spirits 16:15 Blighted Paradise 17:17 Verdict 18:45 Important Message #spiritisland #boardgames #gideonsgaming
