Worms: The Board Game Review

Description provided by GideonsGaming on YouTube:

Since I cover and review both video games and board games, I tend to take a special interest in board game adaptions of video games. However, I have had pretty poor luck with them, they end up being poor adaptions, have broken mechanics, or end up just being pretty bad games. Worms, however, seems like it should be a homerun hit, the turn-based nature of the video game is the perfect canvas to transform into a board game. **Gideon's Bias** Review Copy Used: Yes Number of Plays: 8+ Player Counts Played: 2 & 4 Fan of Genre: Yes Fan of Weight: No Gaming Groups Thoughts: Disliked It **Worms The Board Game Information** Publisher: Mantic Games Designers: Jack Caesar, Matt Gilbert Number of Players: 2-4 Genre: Hex-Based Battle Weight: Light Price: $59.95 **Links** Website: https://gideonsgaming.com/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/GideonsGaming Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/gideonsgaming/ Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/GamingGideon Kofi: https://ko-fi.com/gaminggideon Discord: https://t.co/I4FTNdUziG **Timestamps** 00:00 Overview 01:11 Presentation 03:19 Good: Initial Set Up 04:12 Good: Adaption of the Video Game 06:42 Bad: A Bit Too Random 07:53 Bad: Lack of Map Tiles 09:10 Verdict #boardgames #gideonsgaming
