Welcome to my handcrafted Frosthaven 3D diorama, inspired by the frozen world of Frosthaven and Gloomhaven! ❄️ In this video, I transform a collection of 3D-printed terrain pieces into a complete snowy tabletop scene. The diorama includes trees, terrain hexes, a hunter’s tent, and small environmental props—all painted and assembled to reflect the cold and unforgiving atmosphere of Frosthaven. I begin by examining the printed pieces and planning how the different elements will fit together. For the trees, I use a controlled dry-brushing technique to catch the raised details and create the appearance of snow settling naturally on the branches. Rather than covering every surface evenly, I concentrate the lighter tones on the most exposed areas to preserve depth and texture. Next, I build up the snowy ground using textured snow effects. I vary the coverage around the terrain, trees, and props so that the surface feels more natural and less uniform. Small details are left partially visible beneath the snow, helping the scene feel cold, weathered, and lived-in. For the hunter’s tent, I use Mars Red, Cultist Robe, Green, Night Blue, and Khaki Grey to separate the different materials and details. I apply the colors carefully around the sculpted folds and raised areas, allowing the shapes of the model to remain readable. Muted red, blue, green, and neutral tones help the tent stand out without losing the darker Frosthaven atmosphere. Once the individual pieces are painted, I arrange the terrain hexes, trees, tent, and props into one connected composition. The final step is balancing the placement of each element and adding the last snow touches so the separate 3D prints feel like part of the same frozen environment. This project combines 3D printing, miniature painting, terrain building, dry brushing, color planning, snow textures, and final scene composition.
