Hey everybody! Welcome to a cosy solo playthrough of Fighting Fantasy Adventures, a new board game adaptation of the classic gamebooks by Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone, designed by the legendary Martin Wallace.
These books were a huge part of my childhood, so I was incredibly excited to pick this up at the UK Games Expo. In this video, we'll be diving into the introductory adventure, "The Orb of Lucis." I'll be leading a party of four heroes—the Mage, the Warrior, the Scout, and the Healer—deep into a mysterious dungeon. We'll be facing down deadly traps, fighting fearsome monsters, and hunting for three magical coins to complete our quest.
Stick around to the end, where I give my full first thoughts and a review on how this modern version captures the spirit of the original Fighting Fantasy books and whether it's a good fit for solo players.
