In this video, I paint the terrifying Black Goat from Cthulhu: Death May Die using a dark, eerie palette built around Black Lotus, Sigvald Burgundy, purple dry brushing, and a final Drakenhof Nightshade wash.
I also show some airbrush work in the process, helping to build the initial atmosphere and strengthen the miniature’s dark, eldritch presence from the very beginning.
My goal with this model was to make it feel ancient, corrupted, and unsettling, with a body that stays cold and shadowy while the tentacles feel more organic and alive.
The final look leans into deep purples, fleshy burgundy tones, and a quiet Lovecraftian horror mood.
To finish the scene, I also worked on the base with Diorama FX Earth to ground the model in a darker, natural setting.
