Kirsty and Phil caught up with Mark from Dream Big Games to play a demo round of Wardens of Wulvengrad at Tabletop Scotland. This boss battler sit's somewhere between Kingdom Death Monster and Gloomhaven with boss battles being managed via a card system to help mitigate luck factors. Damage is worked through an innovative bag system which also allows you to add support tokens to the bag meaning when you draw damage you can for example draw a token that allows you to mitigate all damage. Only if it is drawn at the right time though. Beasts will attack and counter attack in a brutal push and pull. With great looking minis and interesting card play could this be the boss battler for you.
