About Armour under the Midnight Sun, from BoardGameGeek:

This is a print and play solitaire company level hex wargame where you defend the road to Gällivare with a Norrbotten Armoured Battalion against a Soviet Tank Regiment in July 1968. The Soviet regiment starts in Pajala. You play each area map by deploying the units that are in the squares above that location. First the battle for Pajala is finished, then the Soviet regiment moves to Tärendö where it fights the Swedish units there, before finishing in Ullatti. Ullatti is your last chance to stop the Soviets. To win, you must destroy the Soviet Regiment. How you stop the Soviets is up to you. Do you spread your forces out or try to stop them at a vital chokepoint? The two sides provide an interesting match-up in 1968. The Swedish armoured battalions are focused on a balanced combined arms approach, and the Soviet tanks regiments are focused on the pure might of the main battle tank approach. Which will prevail? This is very much the game I wanted to play. If no one else is interested, I will not be offended. Although if anyone is interested, I do have plenty of ideas for expansion. I am fascinated by the war that never was and in particular by how it might have played out in Northern Scandinavian. I had three fairly contradictory objectives with the game. I wanted: The game to be fast paced and easy to play with minimal record keeping (I am time poor with work and family commitments). There to be multiple battles with impacts carrying over; and The game to reflect the likely equipment, tactics, and terrain of the two sides in Norrbotten in July 1968. It is designed to be a game focused on simulating a very specific scenario; fast paced mobile engagements between Swedish and Soviet forces in the Norrbotten summer of 1968. To play, you need: The rule book. The Road to Gällivare Map. Unit chits and tokens. Unit cards. Area maps. One six-sided (D6) dice. -description from the designer
