Button Shy Games Unboxing | Embers, Shallow Regrets, ROVE & Sprawlopolis

Description provided by One Last Hand on YouTube:

Welcome back to One Last Hand. Today’s video is a slightly unusual unboxing — a look at several Button Shy wallet games backed via the Embers Kickstarter, including Embers, Shallow Regrets (plus solo expansion), ROVE, and Sprawlopolis. These ultra-compact games don’t come in traditional boxes, but they pack a surprising amount of gameplay into a handful of cards. In this video I take a first look at each game’s components, artwork, rule structure, and solo potential — without spoilers — and talk through why Button Shy games are particularly appealing for solo players and small-table gaming. Games covered in this video: • Embers (with The New Guard expansion) • Shallow Regrets (with solo expansion) • ROVE • Sprawlopolis BoardGameGeek links: Embers: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/372594/embers Shallow Regrets: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/363273/shallow-regrets ROVE: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/342562/rove Sprawlopolis: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/251658/sprawlopolis 00:00 Intro – Button Shy games & why this unboxing is a bit different 00:40 Sprawlopolis overview – rules, scoring & layout 02:26 ROVE overview – puzzle structure & card system 03:53 Shallow Regrets – base game components & artwork 05:27 Shallow Regrets expansion – lingering effects & solo mode 07:11 Embers – core game overview & solo focus 08:46 Embers: The New Guard expansion 09:45 Why Button Shy games work well for solo play 10:58 Final thoughts & what’s coming to the table next Enjoyed this video?
