Baghdad: The City Of Peace - Kickstarter Preview

Description provided by Board Game Buzzz on YouTube:

In the 8th and 9th centuries, under the stewardship of the Abbasid Caliphate, Baghdad rose to prominence as one of the world’s foremost centres of learning and intellectual exchange. The establishment of the House of Wisdom, an institution dedicated to the translation of ancient Greek, Persian, and Indian texts, laid the foundation for this revolution. Academics in Baghdad tackled subjects ranging from astronomy and mathematics to medicine and philosophy, blending classical knowledge with new thinking. This cross-pollination of ideas not only preserved ancient wisdom, but propelled them towards new discoveries, turning Baghdad into a beacon of innovation and scholarship that illuminated the intellectual landscape of the mediaeval world. Set during Baghdad's Golden Age, players take on the role of Viziers vying for the attention of the continuous stream of poets, philosophers, doctors, scientists, mathematicians, authors, artists, and inventors visiting the great City of Peace. Grow your family's reputation, and compete to become the Caliph's most eminent courtier. Huge shout out to Ally Cat Games for Sponsoring this Preview for you today!
