The map was carefully drawn based on multiple historical sources while the unit counters sport the colors of the uniforms that were worn by those combat units that day. Two decks of Leader cards help you determine the order of activation of each of the armies' formations. Fix Bayonets! is a system simulating combat at the battalion level between the armies of the Napoleonic Wars. The rules include an emphasis on Command and Control, a card driven initiative activation system and limit the use of informational markers. The combat resolution system differentiates between the effects of fire, infantry assaults and cavalry charges. While not overly difficult, learning the game can be a challenging but rewarding experience for all wargamers.
