Welcome to a peculiar world of abundance, where having more is not always a good thing! In this playful variation of the classic Japanese card game Daifugō, numbers accumulate, combinations grow, and the cards you thought you had gotten rid of might find their way back into your hand. Staying ahead requires more than simply playing your strongest cards, especially when an unexpected twist can turn a promising position into a troublesome one. Kajitsu Tobu (Flying Fruit) is a ladder climbing and hand shedding card game inspired by the Japanese classic Daifugō, featuring a persistent central display where previously played cards contribute to the strength of future combinations. Players compete by playing sets of matching numbers, with each new play required to surpass the previous combination in both rank and effective size. Cards of the same number already in the center count toward subsequent plays, allowing players to strengthen existing sets by adding fewer cards from their hands. Instead of passing, players may retrieve a previously played card, while playing a 1 can trigger a special event that forces everyone to place their hands on the table and start a new round of play. Players must carefully manage their cards, avoid unfavorable combinations, and navigate a system in which cards can return to their hands before the game finally ends.
