In Kings of The Road, players take the wheel of their own trucking companies, competing to become the most profitable freight-hauling operation in America. Travel across a detailed map of the United States, picking up freight, delivering valuable cargo, and building your trucking empire one load at a time. Every delivery brings new opportunities to earn money, expand your fleet, and outmaneuver the competition. Players begin with a single big rig and choose freight contracts from a shared Dispatch Board. Each contract identifies a pickup city, delivery destination, and payout. Roll the Fuel Dice to travel across the country, plan efficient routes, and use Fuel Credits to gain additional movement. As deliveries are completed, players unlock additional trucks, eventually managing a fleet of three rigs. But the highways are unpredictable! Breakdowns, severe weather, road hazards, weigh stations, highway patrol, and unexpected expenses can disrupt even the best-laid plans. Strategic decisions about which loads to haul, where to travel, and how to manage multiple trucks are essential to success. With three modes of play-Rookie, Long Hauler, and Veteran-players can choose their preferred level of complexity and challenge. The game ends when a player completes the required number of deliveries and the current round is finished, giving everyone an equal number of turns. Players then calculate their Net Profit by adding delivery earnings, freight category bonuses, and unused Fuel Credits, then subtracting accumulated expenses.
