JOLT: The Magnet Game of Push and Pull
Published in 2026
About JOLT: The Magnet Game of Push and Pull — from BoardGameGeek:
JOLT uses real magnetic physics as its core mechanic. You're sliding magnetic pucks down a mat, trying to land them in high-scoring zones. Before each slide, you flip your puck to choose polarity-positive or negative. That choice determines how it interacts with magnets already on the board. Pick right and you navigate around hazards and steal scoring spots. Pick wrong and your puck snaps to another, knocking both out of play. Each round before play starts, a card determines where Trap Magnets sit on the board, so the layout changes every game. The board flips over for a completely different head-to-head Duel mode if you want a different experience. You win by scoring the most points across three rounds. Points come from where your puck lands. It's straightforward push-your-luck gameplay: do you go for the high-score zone or play it safe? Plays in 15-20 minutes with 2 players, ages 8+. The magnetic physics is the whole game; if that mechanic interests you, it works. If you're looking for deep strategic play, this isn't it. -description from the designer
