You've come back home to reopen your family's cozy corner pastry shop-but sweet dreams don't run themselves. Juggle demanding customers, aging equipment, and tight finances while digging through a dusty old recipe book filled with pastries waiting to be mastered. Every recipe brings new challenges, so roll up your sleeves and start early. Experience the daily hustle, hard choices, and small victories that make running a family business so rewarding. Gameplay Overview Pasteles is a solo game where you'll face 12 unique recipes, each one a puzzle to be mastered. Every game unfolds over a series of 4 to 7 rounds, with each round representing a full day at your pastry shop. Each round is divided into three main phases: Preparation Start the day by organizing your bakery. Employees arrive-or leave-according to the schedule, ingredients are readied, and equipment is checked for potential breakdowns. You may also choose to invest in marketing to attract more customers, if you can afford it. Open The doors open and customers start pouring in based on your current Market Level. This is the heart of the game: bake the featured recipe and serve customers as efficiently as possible, following the unique rules of each recipe. Closing As the day winds down, you'll evaluate how satisfied your customers were and adjust the Market accordingly. Pay your employees, make optional repairs to keep your equipment running, and prepare for the next day. These phases repeat each round until the final day. When the last round ends, you'll check the victory conditions to see if your pastry shop has truly become a success. -description from the publisher
