From BoardGameGeek
Assassin's Creed: Animus is a competitive and thematic adventure game, with up to 4 players choosing from asymmetric characters drawn from across the popular videogame series - each with their recognisable weapons, targets and historical locations. Players score points as they race through their character's historical locations to strike down their targets, while collecting penalties for failed or flawed attempts. Use of bureaus, viewpoints, or unique player abilities also helps you to achieve your goals. As the game progresses, players are able to influence the challenges faced by their rivals using different card decks, meaning that the path to a target can often take unexpected twists and players must regularly adapt and improvise to succeed. Victory comes from balancing speed versus safety, good hand management, and learning the intricacies of each character.
