From BoardGameGeek
The Curse of Candelabria is a majority/area control and dudes-on-the-map Eurogame with a strong focus on the setting. In the game, each player controls a noble house of living candles and competes for territories on the map to earn points at the end of each of the three eras in which the game is divided. During their turn, players create new living candles and compose their layered miniatures, place tealights on the map, melt the deployed candles and activate their abilities, move, and upgrade the castle of the house. At the end of each era is a combat phase in which the conflicts and the majorities are resolved and players earn points. The goal of the game is to earn more points than the others and became the new king of Candelabria. -description from designer
