Players embark on a journey through over twenty-four chapters, alternating between Story and Encounter chapters. In "Oath to Embers," Encounters unfold on a dynamic board that constantly shifts, impacting the positions of both Heroes and Enemies. Battleflux cards add another layer of strategy by providing beneficial or detrimental effects to characters based on their placement. This creates a gameplay environment where strategic positioning is crucial, not only for gaining an advantage but also for disrupting enemy placements to prevent them from exploiting those same advantages.
