About X-ODUS: Rise of the Corruption (Second Edition), from BoardGameGeek:

X-ODUS: Rise of the Corruption – Second Edition is a cooperative sci-fi game that blends tactical exploration, asymmetric ship abilities, and dynamic threats into a rich, replayable experience. Explore a modular galaxy, reveal hidden systems, and uncover powerful signals left behind by a forgotten civilization. Face enemies that adapt and escalate. Manage time, navigate danger, and cooperate to survive. Each ship offers a distinct role - some scouts, some brawlers, some support - all essential to the fleet. You'll unlock upgrades, manage resources, and react to the unexpected, all while racing against an enemy that never stops advancing. The new edition features streamlined mechanics, faster setup, new visuals, and deeper narrative immersion. In X-ODUS: Rise of the Corruption, players take on the role of starship captains united by a critical mission: to recover the Precursor Keys. These powerful sources of energy, left behind by the ancient Precursors, are the only force strong enough to seal the Main Rift and stop the spread of the Corruption that threatens to consume the galaxy. To win the game, Ships must find and activate all the Precursor Keys on the Main Rift and defeat any Avatars that may reach the Main Rift after the final Key is activated. If the Corruption tracker reaches the Rise of the Corruption before the Ships seal the Main Rift, or if the all your Ships are defeated, the galaxy will fall to darkness, and the game is lost. -description from the publisher
