Join Mark as he unboxes Wondrous Creatures: Winterfall, the newest expansion from Bad Comet, in this episode of This Board Game Life. Mark takes you through everything in the box, from the 24-page rulebook to the new Winterfall board, achievement track, component trays, and card packs. Along the way, he shares how the pieces come together on the table and gives a first look at all the new components this expansion brings to the game. Wondrous Creatures: Winterfall is a 2026 expansion set five years after the events of the base game, during a long, harsh winter on Starbeak Island. It introduces blizzards, auroras, and shifting weather phenomena that transform the main board, adding a dynamic new twist to worker placement as some spaces grant powerful effects while others disrupt Habitats. Players also encounter the mysterious Spirits, a new species that appears in winter and interacts uniquely with weather effects, alongside new Creature cards, Captains, Achievements, and more. Designed by Jaewoo Bang and Gunho Kim, it plays 1–4 players in about 50–90 minutes. 00:00 Intro 01:51 Opening The Box 02:59 Rulebook Overview 04:39 Winterfall Board 07:01 Card Trays 08:32 Tokens And Components 11:04 New Captains 13:43 Prelude Cards 14:49 Winterfall Cards 16:13 Creature Cards 17:16 Achievement Cards 18:41 Final Thoughts https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/459138/wondrous-creatures-winterfall
