Watch “Why is Everyone Talking About DEWAN? Review.,” a board game review for Dewan from Board Stupid on BoardGameVideo.
Description provided by Board Stupid on YouTube:
Today we are diving into one of the most anticipated releases from the designers of Faraway Orichalcum: Dewan, published by Space Cowboys.
In this beautiful area-placement game, players represent tribes racing to explore a wild, post-post-apocalyptic territory. With a movement system that evokes Ticket to Ride, you’ll be drafting terrain cards to establish camps, gather resources, and fulfill the objectives on your Story Tiles.
What we cover in this review:
The "mechanisms: How discarding terrain cards to move across a tight, modular board creates constant tension.
Production Quality: A look at the screen-printed wooden camps and the incredible triple-layered player boards.
The Race Factor: Why the race for limited spaces makes every single turn feel critical.
Scenario Variability: We discuss the included expansions like the Volcano and Downpour scenarios that change the map as you play.
The Verdict: Is Dewan a must-have for your collection, or does the theme fade away into a cold calculation? We give our final thoughts
