Watch “Why I'm Selling Slay the Spire: The Board Game | A Solo Review,” a board game review for Slay the Spire: The Board Game on BoardGameVideo.
Description provided by Lone Meeple on YouTube:
Slay the Spire: The Board Game is genuinely brilliant. So why am
I selling it?
I'm a solo board gamer in my 40s with 4 kids, a mrs, and a kitchen
table that only moonlights as a gaming table on weekends. And as
much as I wanted this one to work — it just doesn't fit my life.
This is my honest take on whether Slay the Spire: The Board Game
is worth it for solo players, and why a game I genuinely recommend
is leaving my collection.

I run an analytical board gaming channel for the solo player who is tired of the 'hype cycle.' I don't do flashy unboxings or hype-machine reviews; instead, I act as a curator for the mature gamer. I help people navigate the overwhelming amount of new releases by breaking down whether a game is actually worth their time, money, and shelf space. From buyer’s guides and solo tutorials to the 'ugly' truths of why I’m selling specific games, my goal is to help people build a collection they actually play, rather than just hoard.

About Slay the Spire: The Board Game, from BoardGameGeek:
Slay the Spire: The Board Game is a co-operative deck-building, dungeon-crawling adventure. Craft a unique deck, encounter bizarre creatures, discover relics of immense power, and finally become strong enough to slay the Spire!
Each player starts with a character with unique abilities and a simple deck of cards that they can improve by adding and removing cards during the game. Slay the Spire is also a rogue-like. That means that when you die (and you will die!), start over from the beginning. Take the lessons you learned and try again!
The game is divided into Acts. At the end of an Act you can continue, stop and end the adventure there, or save and continue another time!
If players defeat the final Boss, they win the game! Which Boss you consider to be final depends on how many Acts you want to play. You can stop playing at the end of any Act! When a player's HP is reduced to 0, they are dead and the party loses the game.
