Watch “What are the Top Solo Wargames? | New for 2026 | Best Solitaire Wargames? | Historical Board Games,” a board game review on BoardGameVideo.
Description provided by Zilla Blitz on YouTube:
What are the top solitaire (solo) board wargames? In this video, I rank my top solitaire (solo) board wargames, counting down from #10 to #1. This is a new video for 2026 that updates my previous video from 2 years ago. These are the solo wargames that I think work best when played alone, offering strong systems, meaningful decisions, and engaging gameplay without the need for an opponent.
This list focuses on board wargames designed for solitaire play, including games with dedicated solo systems, AI-driven opponents, or designs that naturally support solo command and decision-making. The games featured span different scales and eras, but all share a focus on thoughtful planning, historical flavor, and satisfying solo experiences.
If you enjoy solo board gaming, solitaire wargames, or are looking for wargames that shine when played on your own, this video highlights some of the best options in the hobby.
