Triangle of Power Board Game Review | Gameplay, Strategy & Final Verdict

About Triangle of Power, from BoardGameGeek:

Triangle of Power is a symmetrical card battling game where you play the role of an aspiring ruler. All players wield their own deck, each containing the same 39 cards and 5 treasures. Your resources are limited to heroes, commands, and treasure, with each card you draw presenting new opportunities and combinations. Be wary of matchups, for each hero has a strength and weakness to another! Do you favor the swiftness of the knight, the craftiness of the wizard, or the avarice of the dragon? Defeat your opponents by whittling away their health, or by combining the might of all three heroes to vanquish them instantly with the Triangle of Power! How it PlaysIn Triangle of Power, every player has their own deck which contains the exact same cards, so no deck building is required and all players are on an even playing field. Players compete in a fast-paced battle to see who can be the first to knock their opponent down to zero life points….or play Triangle of Power and win instantly. The game play is very similar to classic Trading Card Games like Magic the Gathering and Yugioh, but greatly simplified so that it can be picked up and learned quickly. In order to win a game of Triangle of Power, players will need to use treasure to hire heroes and command them in battle for various effects. They must build up their forces while also keeping an eye on their opponent to make sure they’re prepared for any surprise attacks. Every player’s deck has three hero types at their command: The Dragon, The Wizard, and the Knight, with three leveled forms for each. Every hero is strong and weak against another hero type, so there is no one type that can best the other. It’s up to you to strategize and command them well! Additionally, every hero has special command cards that can be played to weaken the opponent or increase your attacking power! These commands also reflect the hero’s skills and abilities, and can only be played if the player has a matching type on their field. —description from the designer
