Top 5 for August 2026 - Top 5's w/ Our Family Plays Games

Description provided by BoardGameGeek on YouTube:

Welcome to another Top 5 with OFPG's Mik and Starla... well, of sorts? This time, we're talking about the reasons why we hobbyists (and us at OFPG specifically) play board games, and why people who aren't in the hobby should! Not only is it fun, but there are many benefits to it, socially, emotionally and mentally! If you're not a hobbyist, hear us out! Family Game Rankings: https://boardgamegeek.com/familygames/browse/boardgame?sort=rank&sortdir=asc The rankings (and weights of games) shown in the video may change, but they reflect the rankings of the games at the time of the video's creation. - - OFPG - Linktree: https://linktr.ee/ourfamilyplaysgames YT: @OurFamilyPlaysGames - OTHER - Playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLBIiHc7zsjdx0wrZVn4TBRJA27TDadVMe - - TIMESTAMPS - 0:00 - Intro 0:22 - Preface 0:38 - In General 2:15 - Start of List & Explanation 3:46 - Fun! 4:15 - Escape 5:07 - Compete 6:14 - Nostalgia 6:55 - Puzzly Mechanics 8:04 - Connections 9:19 - Fun! ft.
