Tin Realm is a brutal little overland adventure that fits in a mint tin and somehow delivers more tension than games three times its size. You manage food, energy, health, and time while pushing through forests, mountains, water, and deadlands trying not to die before reaching your destination. And yes, you will die. Often.
The push your luck system is clean and painful in the best way. It never spirals into chaos. It gives you one simple choice. Push forward or back off. That decision carries the entire experience.
What really makes Tin Realm special is the variability. Different character pairings, trappings, loot, and encounter order completely change how each run feels. I’ve played this dozens of times and it still feels tense. That does not happen by accident.
Tin Realm is the spiritual successor to Tin Helm, but in my opinion, it’s the better, fuller experience. If you like small box games that punch above their weight, this belongs on your radar.
