Designed by Niko Lepka, Collateral Checkers https://newventuregames.com/products/collateral-checkers is an exciting new variant for fans of checkers, draughts, and dama.
It looks quite familiar. A checkerboard pattern, sets of light and dark discs, moving space-by-space and capturing by short leaps.
Even the objective has a very familiar ring to it: eliminate your opponent or trap them so they can't move.
But that's where the unique features of Collateral Checkers comes into play. "Move and jump in any direction at any time" adds lots of new possibilities. But "jump and capture your own pieces" is what really shines about this game. Sacrifice is a powerful tactic.
