Watch “Thingstead - Unboxing & How to Play,” a board game unboxing for Thingstead from Merry Married Meeples on BoardGameVideo.
Description provided by Merry Married Meeples on YouTube:
Everybody wants to know what’s in the box… WHAT’S IN THE BOX?
Boxes contain stuff and things. I will remove that stuff and those things and show them to you. Today we are looking at Thingstead from Salt & Pepper Games. In this 2 player only Scott Almes game you are using cards to either influence elders or to gain followers and special powers. Game ends when the draw deck is empty or someone has claimed 3 elders. Players then total up the value of the elders and clans they control to see who won.

About Thingstead, from BoardGameGeek:
The year is 1130. An assembly is about to be called to elect a new chieftain of your Viking village. There is only one opponent who could threaten your election. Over the next few days you must balance your time between the clans and the Thingstead (where the elders are gathered) in order to ensure the votes go to you instead of your rival. At the end of the game, the elders of the Thingstead call a vote and decide a winner. The battle for power has begun. Who will the Seven Elders choose to be the next Chieftain? Manage your hand of cards, play them wisely and win your place as leader of the tribe without dealing a single blow of the axe!
Players take turns completing one action at a time. Play continues until one of the following conditions is fulfilled: One Player has locked 3 Elders or the draw deck is empty and both players are out of cards.
To calculate the final score, players add up the points gained from influencing Elders and for each Clan they control. The player with the most points is the winner! In the case of a tie, the player with the most Followers among the Elder cards wins.
