If you love big strategic games about risk, treasure, and submarines, this is one to watch. What we cover in this video: How Thesauros plays — running your salvage company, diving wrecks, developing technology, hiring workers, and even managing finances. The key mechanics: worker placement, auctions, map-based treasure dives, resource and budget management, auctions for speedboats and salvage rights. How the thematic mix of sea-wreck diving and business-management works (or doesn’t) — does the tension of sharks and auctions make for a great game night? Player count, playtime, and who this game is for: 1–4 players, 14+, with a full 3-year in-game campaign (9 rounds) and lots of depth. Our verdict: what we loved, what felt a bit heavy, and whether we think Thesauros deserves a place on your shelf. Why Watch This Review If you’re curious about the big new heavy Euros of 2025, or you want to know whether Thesauros is worth the purchase — especially if you’re into worker placement, economic engines, or thematic games with depth — this video saves you from the guesswork.
