Description provided by Camera With No Name on YouTube:
In this conversation you can learn more about the board game The Trash Travelers!
The Trash Travelers is a collaborative board game and environmental project created by The Trash Traveler, Augusto Lima and Carolina Semrau to promote ecological awareness through play. Inspired by real-world beach cleanups and documentaries, the game challenges one to eight players to remove microplastics and various waste from natural environments. The project has received critical acclaim, winning awards such as the Geeks d’Ouro for best national board game and a 5 Seasons expert category prize. Beyond the tabletop experience, the initiative includes four documentaries, including titles like The Plastic Hike and The Ocean Hike, which document environmental journeys across Portugal and Madeira. The physical game is a sustainable, European production that features a double-sided board to accommodate different difficulty levels and age groups. By integrating "real-life" cards that reward players for actual community service, the creators aim to empower families and schools to take direct action against pollution.
