Watch “The Game Was Fine. The Box Wasn't.,” a board game review for Lands of Evershade from Artisan Worlds on BoardGameVideo.
Description provided by Artisan Worlds on YouTube:
Lands of Evershade arrives in nine boxes. My wife took one look and said, "I'm never playing that." In this rebox walkthrough, I pack the game away in my 3D printed insert and explain where every piece goes and why.
She wasn't the only one. So I spent 200 hours working out where all of it should go. Reviewers loved this game, and many of them still called out the pile, so their comments appear throughout the video.
What the video covers:
- The Setup box, which keeps character creation off the rest of your table
- Gray adventure trays for Into the Whitewell
- Orange camp trays for upgrading your character
- Character trays and miniatures stored with their rings on
- Numbered mystery boxes that find a monster without revealing the others
- Green overland trays, red combat trays, and white gold everyday trays
- Item tokens stored beside their action cards
- Loading everything back into the box
Why it's built this way:
Each tray color marks a phase of play, so you can ask for "the red tray" from across the table. Pieces live by when you need them: making a character, every session, or one adventure. Only what the moment calls for reaches the table.

Notes
- Fits the All-In pledge, Wave 1. Wave 2 has not been tested.
- Supports sleeved cards, tested with Awaken Realms and Sleeve Kings sleeves.
- Every box stores vertically or flat.
- No lid lift on the Core Box, Into the Whitewell, or Ashes of Heaven. About 5 mm on Song of Luada and the Character Model Variety Pack. About 10 mm on the Creatures Box, on purpose: it keeps the monsters safer and easier to get back out.
- Physical inserts and digital files are separate purchases.
