This is Episode 13 of my Witchbound complete story playthrough — a cosy narrative adventure board game played through from beginning to end. After getting properly stuck in the last episode, we finally find the missing thread that moves the story forward. We return to earlier locations, retry a failed climb, discover a hidden cave, pick up the diamond keyword, and then work back through the tower puzzle that had been blocking progress. The big breakthrough comes from the muffin and the baby plant, leading us to the Verdant Growth spell. From there, the vines finally form the bridge we needed, the familiar gets a huge new shapeshift ability, and the Bonds quest comes to an end. That opens the next main quest, Risks, where we are sent out to find Jeb the courier. Along the way we pick up the frog mask, sneak past the hulking froglins, find Jeb locked in a cage, and get him out with an improvised lockpick. This felt like a proper progress episode after a difficult stretch, even if Witchbound still makes every clue work harder than it probably needs to.
