Watch “Street Fighter version of the DC Deck Building Game (First video, WIP),” a board game entertainment video for DC Deck-Building Game on BoardGameVideo.
Description provided by Uppsala FGC on YouTube:
I've been playing around with the Magic Set Editor and started creating a Street Fighter version of the DC Deck Building game. I don't really know how Magic the Gathering works, I've just used Magic cards as a template since the program is really easy to use. Most of the card powers and effects are just straight copies from the original game, but I had to make quite a few changes (besides the obvious, such as card type names and images) and add a few new cards. I just wanted to get some input, suggestions or ideas for my "own" cards and my modified cards. If you find them overpowered or underpowered and so forth.
I've also added a new game mechanic and card type: Rivals. These are Super-Villains that comes from the main deck and take the place on top of the Super-Villain stack. I've also gotten rid of the cards with "*VP" and made it more straight forward. On top of that I also added more defense effects (since there are more attacks in my version) and all Super-Villains cost two more power to defeat. The name changes so far are:
Super Heroes = World Warriors
Super-Villains = Bosses
Heroes = Fighters
Villains = Warriors
Locations = Stages
Super Powers = Advanced Techniques
Equipment = Circumstance
Punch = Normal
Kick = Target Combo
Vulnerability = Whiff
Weakness = Punishable Move
The completely new cards are Birdie, Cody, Guy, Maki (replaces Catwoman), Ingrid (replaces Super Girl), Juni/Juli, R.Mika (replaces Green Arrow), Dudley, Gouken, Makoto, Yun and Yang (the last two replaces the Suicide Squad cards).
The modified cards are: Cammy (Man of Steel), Deejay (Kid Flash), Poison (Dark Knight), T. Hawk (Mera) and Necro (Bizarro).
In this video you will find the World Warrior, Stage, Fighter, Warrior, Boss and Rival cards. Let me know what you think in the comments below. All opinions, ideas, suggestions and corrections are welcome!
