Battles of Akarios is a brand new expansion for Stars of Akarios introducing one-off space combat gameplay scenarios. Battles introduces the “Battle-Book” - an all new large-format scenario book to get you into the action quickly, and new streamlined rules to make space combat even more fast-paced. This expansion is great for Stars of Akarios fans who want to play unique one-off space combat missions with their existing squad or gamers who may not be interested in a full campaign and just want to experience the space combat. Battle-Book The Battle-Book includes 20 unique space combat scenarios with their own objectives, special rules and mini-story. Each scenario has a pre-generated game board that can be used for minimal setup allowing you to place your ships directly on the battle-book. Modifier Dice Battles of Akarios includes 4 player modifier dice and 1 enemy modifier die. These new 8-sided dice replace the existing modifier decks and provide a dynamic resolution for every attack. In-Scenario Progression A core element of Stars of Akarios is upgrading the ships with new weapons, engine and tech. In Battles of Akarios, players can now spend an action dice to “go-to” the market and purchase upgrades to be used instantly. Goodbye Supply Cubes, Hello Supply Dial Upgrades no longer use upgrade-specific supply and instead use supply from each pilot’s general pool - tracked by new supply dials. At the beginning of each round, players are given that round’s number of supply to use with their upgrades or in the market.
