Space Lab Review - Is this the small box board game to top Faraway?

Description provided by BoxedMeeples on YouTube:

If Faraway caught your attention, this Time to Board might be one to watch. Today we’re looking at Space Lab, a compact tableau-builder from the same design duo, where you’re constructing your own space station by picking lab cards either blindly or from a recruitment area. These cards are placed carefully around your Capsule, objectives combo with them and when you're placing just 10 cards, every decision matters more than you might expect. That shared design DNA with Faraway is easy to spot. Space Lab leans into spatial planning, forward thinking, and satisfying scoring puzzles, asking you to balance immediate rewards against longer-term positioning. It’s approachable and light on rules, but there’s still plenty to think about from start to finish. In this video, we share our first impressions, how the game feels to play, and where it fits on the shelf. As always with Time to Board, this is about getting a feel for the experience rather than a full rules explanation. We’d love to know what you think. Have you played Space Lab, and did it scratch the same itch as Faraway, or did it land somewhere different for you?
