About Solacia 2: The Ice Demon – A Solitaire Fantasy Game, from BoardGameGeek:
Solacia was at peace until the Ice Demon arrived. He spread evil across the land, conjuring up all kinds of horrors and freezing the land permanently so that nothing would grow. The Queen has called for a group of Heroes to find and kill the Ice Demon, and to return the land of Solacia back to its beautiful former glory.
Solacia 2: The Ice Demon places you in control of that party of Heroes, consisting of Warf, a tough fighter; Erica, a skilled spear thrower; a mysterious Mystic; and Tooth, a huge powerful beast. The game should be played as an Adventure (campaign) which strings together a series of five quests for your party to undertake. Quest selection is randomised to keep the game fresh and different on each Adventure attempt. In addition to random quest selection, the quests themselves play out very differently each time, adding to replayability.
Victory is achieved if you manage to reach and win Quest 5 and destroy the Ice Demon.
This game is a solitaire hex and counter fantasy game. You play the game by controlling what your Heroes do, and the game will provide Enemies and other challenges for your Heroes to face. You will need two, or preferably three, standard six-sided dice to play.
