Watch “Should You Back/Buy?: Bebop & Cat Blues Review (THE ANSWER IS YES),” a board game review for Bebop from Liege of Games on BoardGameVideo.

The next upcoming games from Bitewing Games includes a heavily Jazz inspired collection, including Bebop which comes across an ode to the tile laying familiar-ish vibe of the modern classics in the Knizia realm while still marching to the beat of it's own drum. The use of dice based seating at locations in "reserved" seats mimic but stands out on it's own with use of clever but variable color and family groupings around various stages on the board.
The second game is a remake of a Knizia classic from 1998, Cat Blues. This pseudo mix of tricking taking but ultimately outbidding maneuvering makes it reminiscent of almost a Scout meets Go Fish in a much more clever manner. The remake optimizes the player count at 2-4 and adds two variants to the overhead of refilling cards back to hands otherwise that were potentially overplayed and the 7's to allow expanded groups to be played.
Intrigued? Liege approved
And as always, I played it right but words aren't always my friends, so hopefully I didn't screwed up explaining my thoughts on too many things along the way!!
