Should You Back It? Slay the Spire Downfall Kickstarter Breakdown

Description provided by Game Brigade on YouTube:

The cooperative deck-building hit Slay the Spire: The Board Game is back on Kickstarter with the Downfall expansion, and the big question is… should you back it? In this episode of Should You Back?, I take a close look at everything the Downfall campaign is offering — new playable villains, additional cards, improved sleeves, and the updated collector’s edition. If you’re a fan of the original game or curious about the hype surrounding this roguelike deck-builder, this video will help you decide if the expansion (or the full game) deserves a spot in your collection. Originally a massively popular indie video game, Slay the Spire became a highly successful cooperative board game adaptation. Downfall flips the formula by letting you play as the bosses and villains from the original game while descending the spire instead of climbing it. But with multiple pledge tiers, add-ons, and collector options, figuring out the best value can get confusing. So let’s break it all down. 🎯 Here’s What You’ll Learn ✔️ What Slay the Spire: Downfall adds to the board game ✔️ How the villain characters change the gameplay experience ✔️ Whether the expansion fully integrates with the base game ✔️ Breakdown of pledge levels and what you actually get ✔️ Standard vs Collector’s Edition — which is worth it? ✔️ Add-ons like sleeves, coins, playmats, and accessories ✔️ My personal recommendation — should YOU back it? 📚 Learn More About Slay the Spire: Downfall 📌 BoardGameGeek: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgameexpansion/454971/slay-the-spire-the-board-game-downfall 📌 Kickstarter Campaign: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/contentiongames/sts-downfall/description 💬 Your Turn!
