Sci-Fi Fantasy Saturday- Ares Expedition: Crisis (Stronghold)

Description provided by KilroyWasHere on YouTube:

Welcome to another Sci-Fi Fantasy Saturday, where today we take a look at Ares Expedition: Crisis from Stronghold Games. Crisis one of the three first expansions to Terraforming Mars: Ares Expedition, which is a "card game" version* of Terraforming Mars, which adds a role selection (called Phases) mechanic to streamline the card drafting mother game, which take some time with higher player counts. In full disclosure, TM is one of my favorites games; however, due to its ever expanding content and my "completionist" mentality, it suffers from a cardinal sin of eurogaming -- Expansion Creep -- and, as a result, does not get to the table as much as I would like. Crisis adds an entirely new/different gameplay, where a catastrophic event has occurred on an already-terraformed Mars and now you need to re-terraform Mars . . . Wait, just watch till the end . . . no skipping . . . *Isn't Terraforming Mars mostly a card game already?
