In this video, we play a 2-player competitive session of the prototype for Ruinborn: Dungeons of Cabora. The prototype was sent to us by Terra Rossa Games, who are preparing to launch the game on Kickstarter soon. Both players are racing through the dungeon to complete quests, collect loot, and battle creatures. Along the way we find plenty of spells to use against each other, making every turn a balance between advancing our own plans and disrupting our opponent’s. The boss Queen Gloomscent also roams the dungeon, moving unpredictably based on dice rolls. Her random movement creates tense moments where either player could suddenly be forced into a dangerous fight, shifting the momentum of the game. This playthrough gives an early look at how the competitive mode works, with a mix of dungeon exploration, dice-based combat, random events, and player interaction.
