Review of Chiseled, a deck-deconstruction card game that's very well tied to its theme

Description provided by Tabletop Bellhop on YouTube:

A detailed review of Chiseled, a Deck-Sculpting Card game that takes the idea of deck-building and flips it upside down. In this card game, you start with a large deck of cards and use tools to chip away at your deck trying to end up with the perfect sculpture. Chiseled does a fantastic job of blending its unique deck-shedding mechanics with its sculpting theme. One set of Tools. NO EXCUSES! Remove and accentuate cards from your block of marble—your starting deck of cards—using a shared set of tools to please the critics and win! Chiseled is a thematic and strategic deck-deconstruction game for 1-4 players. Your starting marble is worth very little. Remove Scrap and extraneous pieces to accentuate and score what remains. The Critics from across history will judge ALL players’ sculptures once ANY player’s looks polished enough, represented by “check-ins.” Each Tool is unique, and can only be re-used once ALL tools have been selected. Will you go for fine detail with a Pointed Chisel? Plan your next actions with the Maquette? Or take a wild swing with the Heavy Sledge, possibly damaging your opponents’ work? Includes 24 “Sine Cera” Waxed Marble cards for variant “take-that” play, and 3 solo challenges for solitaire sculpting. ******************** Links: Head over to the Tabletop Bellhop blog where you'll find more tabletop gaming content, including game and game night advice, reviews, and more: https://tabletopbellhop.com Check out my written review of Chiseled over on the blog: https://tabletopbellhop.com/game-reviews/chiseled/ Pick up your own copy of Chiseled (affiliate links) US: https://amzn.to/3fmVZpz Canada: https://amzn.to/3Ro5lz2 ******************** Sign up for our newsletter: https://newsletter.tabletopbellhop.com Find us all over the web: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/tabletopbellhop/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/tabletopbellhop Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tabletopbellhop/ Twitch: https://twitch.tv/tabletopbellhop
