About Racket, from BoardGameGeek:
Step into the seedy world of 1920s organized crime in Racket, a mafia-themed board game filled with mobsters, influence, and deadly ambition. Designed for 2–4 players, Racket casts each participant as the boss of a fledgling criminal empire vying for dominance. The objective: become the most powerful and profitable syndicate in the city by the end of the game.
Each player leads a mob faction-each with unique abilities-competing for control of valuable city turf and acquiring assets to expand their operation. From acquiring useful assets through shady backroom deals to sending goons to sabotage rival enterprises and dodging entanglements with the police, every decision shapes the rise-or fall-of a player's criminal empire. In Racket, strategic asset management, well-timed mob hits, and a keen eye for identifying critical business opportunities are all essential to outmaneuvering the competition and staying ahead of the law.
Racket blends classic area control and dice-rolling mechanics with asset acquisition and use, all within a richly thematic 1920s mafia setting. With dynamic gameplay, variations in both set-up and play, and good old-fashioned cutthroat player interaction, Racket is ideal for players who enjoy light strategy and luck, wrapped in a vintage underworld flair. Whether it's an early power grab or a final, calculated strike, every move matters in this exciting board game where players battle for power and control.
