In a playful world of explosive modern art, players try to collect just the right amount of colorful cards without letting their artistic ambition go too far. Each trick represents a risky creative clash, where taking too many cards can turn a promising masterpiece into a disastrous overproduction. Passing can leave a tempting work on display for everyone to see, while repeated “5” cards can cancel each other out and disrupt the entire composition. Pop Art Trick is a trick-taking game with must-follow rules, no trump suit, passing, cancellation, and bust-style scoring. Players compete in tricks by following the led color when possible, but simply winning tricks is not always beneficial: collecting 8 or more cards causes a major penalty, while carefully controlled card collection may lead to positive points. Instead of playing into a trick, a player may pass by revealing a card from their hand, leaving that card visible until it is eventually played; this creates both public information and future vulnerability. Revealed cards may also score as bonuses at the end of the round if their values are lower than the number of cards the player has captured. Each color includes three “5” cards, and when matching color and number cards are visible, cancellation can remove cards from contention, sometimes leaving no winner and carrying cards into the next trick.
