Auf der Suche nach dem perfekten Piratenspiel bin ich ja vor kurzem auf "The Pirate Republic" von 2018 gestoßen, aber dieses Spiel hat im Prinzip nur "Schiffe kämpfen gegeneinander" versteckt in einem leicht aufgesetzen Kartendeckmechanismus. Warum also nicht direkt ohne Umschweife auf das Plündern konzentrieren? Hier kommt PLUNDER genau recht: Schiffe aufrüsten, rumfahren, andere angreifen, Schätze heben. Fertig ist das Party/Fun-Piratenspiel bis zu sechs Personen. Aber Achtung: das ist ein Bier & Bretzels-Spiel zum Nebenher spielen ohne großen Story/Strategie-Anspruch....aber es sieht soooo gut aus.

Plunder: A Pirate's Life is a competitive, strategy-based gateway game played on a modular ocean map. The goal is to gain ten Plunder Points. Plunder points are obtained by conquering islands, sinking enemy ships, and burying treasure. On your turn, draw one Resource card for each island you own. Trade and manage your resources (wood, iron, rum, gold) to build and upgrade your fleet using miniatures and pegs. Ships sail the open map via roll and move. Battle enemy ships and conquer islands via dice combat. Game also features team play.
